An Awarding Organisation, also known informally as an Exam Board, designs, develops and delivers education programmes. They also award the recognition of learning outcomes. They play a key role in regulating the quality of training and qualification for learners.

Awarding organisations in the UK are monitored and regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (‘Ofqual’). Ofqual is the government department that maintains standards and confidence in Awarding Organisations and training bodies in the UK.

No, we act on your behalf and communication is between the Awarding Organisation and Learn Q. The Awarding Organisations are primarily interested in making sure that we, as training providers, are meeting the high standards required of us. You will be given qualifications that have their official approval and your certification will have their logos, but otherwise it is extremely rare for a learner to come into contact with an Awarding Organisation.
